Cele 5 probe speciale de la prima ediţie Mehedinţi Enduro se află pe Valea Topolniţei, un areal foarte variat din punct de vedere geografic, acest aspect făcând ca fiecare traseu să fie destul de diferit faţă de celelalte.

Primul traseu este cel mai stâncos şi cel mai lung (şi totodată cel mai greu accesibil, cu un transfer de aproape 7km), având mai multe zone expuse şi neaderente. Complet natural, acesta este de fapt o veche potecă turistică readusă la viaţă cu ocazia concursului.

Pe de altă parte, cea de-a doua probă specială va fi şi cea mai scurtă, însă deosebit de interesantă. Se va trece prin ruinele unei cetăţi şi se va coborî de-a lungul unui carusel natural, pentru ca spre final să se parcurgă o zonă stâncoasă şi deschisă.

Următoarele două trasee au acelaşi punct de start, fiind construite de la 0 de-a lungul ultimilor 3 ani. Mult mai uşoare din punct de vedere tehnic, acestea vor fi probabil pe placul celor care preferă datul prin bikepark-uri. Astfel, traseul nr. 3 va testa abilităţile riderilor în curbe, având câteva zeci de contrapante, pe când următorul ne va arăta cine stă cel mai bine în aer, aici fiind construite cele mai mari gap-uri din tot concursul.

Ultimul traseu, finalizat în această lună, este de fapt o combinaţie a tot ce am întâlnit pe celelalte. Zonele tehnice alternează cu cele de flow, incluzând switchback-uri deosebit de strânse, porţiuni drepte de viteză, drop-uri şi gap-uri, pe un teren imprevizibil.

The first edition of Mehedinţi Enduro will take place on Topolniţa Valley, an area with distinct geographic characteristics, thus making every race stage different from the others.

The first stage will be the longest and the rockiest one (and will also have the longest liaison), with a lot of loose and exposed sections. Completely natural, this is in fact an old hiking path bought back to life by the race organizers.

On the other hand, the second stage will be the shortest one, and we dare to say, one of the most exciting trails in the area. It will cross the ruins of an old fortress and will take you down through a natural roller-coaster, with lots of rocks along the way.

The next two stages will have the same starting point, and are completely man-built. Not as technical as the others, these will probably be preferred by those riders who like to ride bike-parks. Thus, trail no. 3 will test the riders skills in berms, dozens of them being built here, while the fourth trail will show us the best rider on jumps, having the biggest gaps on the entire race.

The final stage is the newest trail in the area, being finalized in April. It has a bit of everything we encountered on the previous stages: technical sections, flow lines, tight switchbacks, straight sections, drops and gaps.
